Can I use this hard drive to record TV programmes? According to my Sony TV (Oled AG9), a hard disk/stick with USB HDD connection is required...

Works perfectly! ....and apart from that, with the Toshiba Canvio HDD you have one of the best external "classic" (not SSD) hard drives in your sights!
But remember: You will "only" be able to watch the recorded content on this device (copyright)!
