Since it is a touch screen and is matt, there are certainly better screens for purely playing videos, where the picture is clearer, if you want to do without the other functions.
The question is whether to transport with or without a stand. The foot that comes with it has very pronounced feet. For example, they don't fit in a 6-person lift in our house. If you take it apart and pack it well, it should be able to withstand transport, in my opinion.
