Achtung! Facebook-Konto Zwang für Oculus!
Vor einer Woche am 18. August wurde auf dem Offiziellen Oculus Blog ein Artikel veröffentlicht der auf einen bevorstehenden Facebook-Konto ZWANG für Oculus Konten informiert. Zusammenfassung: 1) Ab Oktober 2020 können neue Accounts NICHT mehr ohne Facebook-Konto erstellt werden. 2) Im Januar 2023 wird dann bei ALLEN Oculus Konten welche nicht mit Facebook verbunden sind der Support eingestellt. Das Gerät soll zwar immer noch verwendbar sein aber die Volle Funktionalität wird ohne Facebook Konto nicht sichergestellt. Ich habe mir die Rift S und einige Spiele von der offiziellen Homepage/client gekauft und nicht von Digitec aber wollte noch alle unwissenden hier warnen welche sich für ein Oculus Produkt interessieren und vorhaben es zu kaufen. Wer mit den Bedingungen (Facebook-Konto)kein Problem hat wird wahrscheinlich in der Benutzung auch keine haben aber behaltet im Hinterkopf, dass viele User wenn nicht die meisten keine Lust auf einen Facebook Zwang haben. Facebook hintergeht hier also Skrupellos ihre Kunden und User! Absolut niemand findet es eine gute Idee. Eine absolute Sauerei meiner Meinung nach, ich persönlich werde das nicht hinnehmen. Man kann nun zwar argumentieren dass es nicht durchkommt wenn alle Benutzer es nicht gut finden aber ich habe keine Lust auf diese Schikanen und lasse mich als zahlenden Kunden nicht so behandeln. Starting in October 2020: Everyone using an Oculus device for the first time will need to log in with a Facebook account. If you’re an existing user and already have an Oculus account, you’ll have the option to log in with Facebook and merge your Oculus and Facebook accounts. If you’re an existing user and choose not to merge your accounts, you can continue using your Oculus account for two years. After January 1, 2023, we will end support for Oculus accounts. If you choose not to merge your accounts at that time, you can continue using your device, but full functionality will require a Facebook account. We will take steps to allow you to keep using content you have purchased, though we expect some games and apps may no longer work. This could be because they include features that require a Facebook account or because a developer has chosen to no longer support the app or game you purchased. All future unreleased Oculus devices will require a Facebook account, even if you already have an Oculus account. Giving people a single way to log into Oculus—using their Facebook account and password— will make it easier to find, connect, and play with friends in VR...."
