Mitipi

mitipi was founded with the vision of banishing the word "burglary" to the history books. The Zurich-based startup combines smart home technology and insurance. Kevin - the smart burglary prevention - is mitipi's first product: a simple smart home device that takes presence simulation to a new level.

Burglars avoid confrontation and make sure in advance if someone is there. Kevin simulates presence and thus deters burglars. Thanks to light, moving shadow effects and acoustics, the apartment or house appears animated. Users put Kevin on within a few minutes and can then leave the house with a good feeling, whether for just a few hours or for a longer vacation.
