The ACR39U-UF Smart Card Reader is one of ACS's modern products that focuses on the development of USB standards. This palm-sized reader features a USB Type-C connector, which offers a reversible plug orientation and cable direction, adapting the product design for future smart card applications on mobile devices.

The ACR39U-UF uses the same core as the ACR39U series. It supports ISO 7816 smart cards and various memory cards, as well as microprocessor cards with T = 0 and T = 1 protocols. Unlike older USB cables, it does not matter which side the Type-C connector is on; you can insert it in either direction. It complies with PC/SC and CCID standards, keeping the device compatible with current applications according to USB specifications. The ACR39U Smart Card Reader can be easily integrated into a computer and mobile device environment. The drivers are compatible with operating systems such as Windows, Solaris, Linux, and Mac OS. Additionally, the ACR39U-UF can be used on mobile devices running Android versions 3.1 and higher.
