After his team member John dies due to a mistake during a hostage situation, Special Ops soldier Matteo Donner (Rico Verhoeven) falls into a deep crisis. Back in his hometown of Amsterdam, he finds a way back to life through the grieving widow Helene (Marie Dompnier) and her young daughter Angie. However, Helene's new partner has gambling debts with the Albanian gangster boss Saban (Frank Grillo), who has the little girl kidnapped. Donner plunges into a hopeless battle against the mafia to save his friend's daughter.
