The D-Link Media Converter DMC-810SC converts a 1000 Mbit/s twisted-pair Ethernet signal into a 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit single-mode fiber optic signal. The maximum cable length of the optical fiber is 10 km, extending a standard Gigabit connection. Wherever different cable media are interconnected, a converter can be quickly and easily deployed. Due to its modular design, multiple different D-Link converters can be installed and powered in a common optional chassis.
