Please Be Happy is a cozy slice-of-life visual novel set in a fictional version of Wellington, New Zealand.

Miho was born as a fox in the forests of Korea and carries the memory of a traveler who showed her kindness and spoke of home. Now more human than fox, Miho has spent a long time searching for her identity. She arrives in Wellington aboard an airship, one of the jewels of New Zealand's floating islands.

Although she has observed people for years, she still has much to learn about their culture and society. Until now, she has made a living as a thief, as her sharpened senses allow her to easily exploit others. She has also witnessed much of the worst that humanity has to offer.

It is only when she meets Juliet, the owner of a small library, and Aspen, an aspiring novelist, that Miho begins to understand what kindness is and that there is more to people than just their darker sides.
