UV Protection Filter

A UV filter allows only the desired light to pass through. Increased UV radiation, which can cause blue tints especially during midday, is blocked by the UV filter. Why do you need a DHG filter for your digital camera?

Digital cameras have a CCD or CMOS image sensor that converts light into digital impulses. The sensor is very sensitive and is protected by a filter glass. This glass is positioned directly in front of the chip and has a highly reflective surface. A portion of the incoming light is therefore reflected back by the filter glass. This light must then exit the lens in a straight line, which is ensured by the multi-coating of the lens.

When using a filter on the lens, not only must the front side of the filter be of very high quality, but also the back side. Otherwise, there is a risk of loss of contrast and brilliance, as well as blurriness. This is not necessary for filters for analog cameras.
