With Daisy Chain you can connect several monitors with short cables (e.g. PP100) one behind the other instead of connecting several long cables to the PC.
This enables easy cable management and reduces clutter on and behind the desk.
Working with a laptop or a small monitor can be cumbersome due to the small screen size, as the number of applications that can be used simultaneously is limited. With daisy-chain compatibility, even a laptop or Mini-PC with only one output can be connected to up to four monitors. With more than three times the working area, more applications can be used simultaneously, increasing work efficiency.
Controlling monitor power and screen settings in a multi-monitor environment can be time consuming and cumbersome. With the free Screen InStyle software, the power and screen settings of all connected monitors can be synchronously adjusted for quick and easy management.
Screen InStyle also has many additional features such as the automatic change of the color mode depending on the currently opened application, the change of the amount of blue light during the day and batch management functions for administrators.
The monitor has four USB 3.1 Type A ports with a 5V power supply for connecting peripheral devices such as a mouse, keyboard and/or headset. Ideal for keeping frequently used equipment within easy reach.
This model looks almost borderless due to the ultra narrow frame. The display is enclosed on the side and top by a 1mm thin frame (with discrete inner edges of only 5.2mm on the EV2456W and 4.3mm on the EV2451W). This results in an almost seamless visible surface, especially when several monitors are used. At the front edge of the flat display there are sensor keys, which allow pleasant access to the monitor settings.
To prevent eye fatigue, the Auto EcoView sensor continuously measures changes in ambient light and the intelligent monitor control automatically optimises the screen to the ideal brightness levels. Auto EcoView saves up to 60% power compared to a full brightness monitor.
The negative influence of blue light on the health of the eyes is still a topic that has not received enough attention. It is precisely the energy-rich blue light that can irreversibly damage the retina and the retinal pigment epithelium. Typical LCD monitors have a preset color temperature of 6500 Kelvin, which is very blue light intensive.
