Extralink Patch Panel 24 Ports Cat. 6 UTP 0.5U

Patch panels are one of the fundamental elements used for structured cabling. They are installed in 19-inch racks. The screws used for mounting are the same as those for active devices. The purpose of the patch panel is to terminate the cables leading to the distribution cabinet.

The RJ45 Cat 6 UTP patch panel ports connect to the active device via patch cables of the corresponding category and type to maintain the appropriate connection standard. A notable feature is the height of the patch panel in the rack – it measures only 0.5U, which means that two such patch panels can be installed in a single mounting unit, resulting in a total of 48 ports in 1U. The cable is connected to the patch panel using a punch-down tool.
