If the optional battery grip is equipped with two additional batteries, the camera has enough power for around 1,450 photos, and in Economy mode, even up to 1,700 photos. When the battery charge is low, the camera automatically switches to the next battery without turning off or interrupting the ongoing recording, such as video or continuous shooting.
