Thermal throttling explained:
Thermal throttling is a technique whereby the frequency of an integrated circuit can be automatically adjusted to reduce the amount of heat generated. Normally, electronic components operate within the standard temperature range at full speed. However, in cases of high workloads—such as video processing or data manipulation—excessive heat can be generated due to intensive computing and high data throughput.

To cool down the integrated circuit, an automatic duty cycle is applied, lowering the effective frequency and gradually bringing the operating temperature back into the normal range. During this cycle, the performance of the integrated circuit degrades until it runs cooler. The Iceberry significantly improves cooling for the Raspberry Pi 4, ensuring that the operating temperature remains much lower and preventing thermal throttling from activating under any workload.
