It is an internet radio designed for in-wall installation that can play internet radio stations via Wi-Fi. Alternatively, the radio can be used to control Sonos speakers. It is also possible to play music files via Bluetooth from a mobile device. Operation is done through the capacitive buttons of the control panel, requiring only a light touch on the symbols. Integration into the Wi-Fi network can be easily accomplished using the WPS function. Additionally, commissioning can be conveniently done with the Gira System 3000 app via a mobile device, through which all other settings of the radio can also be adjusted. Up to 20 favorite stations can be saved, with the first three stations accessible directly via the favorite buttons on the radio. Other functions via the app include selecting operating modes "Internet Radio" or "Sonos Control," customizing the display content arrangement, sound settings, weather forecasts, and an alarm function. The radio can be turned on, for example, with a light switch or motion detector via the 230V auxiliary input, in conjunction with room lighting. The radio is compactly housed in an in-wall unit and can thus be installed in a single device box. The speaker can be installed in combination with the radio or separately in a device box. Two speakers can be connected to the unit, and the radio can operate in mono or stereo mode. In sleep mode, the radio automatically turns off 30 minutes after being turned on. The radio can also be used as an alarm clock. When combined with other electronic devices under a common cover, there may be reception interferences.
