Thanks to the higher speed of USB 3.0, the IB-254U3 external hard drive enclosure from Icy Box offers ultra-fast transfers with a USB 3.0-compatible host connection and cable. The support for the UASP protocol and 6 Gbit/s SATA III drives allows for actual transfer speeds to be ten times higher compared to a standard external USB 3.0 box. USB 3.0 is compatible with older USB standards, so the Icy Box IB-254U3 can also work with USB 2.0 ports, providing the maximum speed of USB 2.0.
