MODO BASS achieves an unprecedented level of realism thanks to eight years of research and development, providing musicians and producers with all conceivable variations and sounds of an electric bass. With its Physical Modeling technology, MODO BASS allows for complete customization in all areas of sound manipulation (sound characteristics, signal paths, and playing techniques), accurately reflecting the full interaction between the instrument and the musician. Among the numerous parameters are 12 instrument models—a collection of all the essential basses known from recordings over the last 50 decades—as well as the number, type, and thickness of the strings, their distance from the bridge, the interaction with the body and pickups of the instrument (with 20 different pickups to choose from), as well as models of 7 different stompbox effects and various amplifiers and cabinets (1×15 and 4×12). Three different playing techniques (Pluck, Pick, Slap), along with real-time MIDI control and keyswitching for quick transitions between playing styles, complete the experience and bring life to every bass recording.
