Product details
The Ilford PIXIE 35-II is a ready-to-use instant camera designed for straightforward photography without complex settings. This compact device features a fixed-focus lens system with a focal length of approximately 35 mm in the traditional film format, suitable for capturing everyday moments with minimal preparation. The camera measures about 12.5 cm in width, 8.5 cm in height, and 5.5 cm in depth, weighing around 350 g including the battery. It operates with two standard AA batteries for extended shooting sessions. The PIXIE 35-II uses Ilford instant film cartridges that produce monochrome prints in the format of 8.6 cm x 5.4 cm, with each cartridge containing 8 exposures. It includes a flash with an effective range of up to 3 meters, which is automatically activated in low light conditions. Exposure control is managed by an automatic exposure metering system that adjusts the shutter speed based on ambient light, typically ranging from 1/60 to 1/200 seconds. The viewfinder provides a simple framing aid instead of a through-the-lens view. The film ejection occurs automatically after each shot, with a development time of about 3-5 minutes at room temperature around 20-25°C. The camera construction uses durable ABS plastic with rubberized grip areas for secure handling. The lens protection is ensured by a sliding cover that also functions as a power switch when opened. The PIXIE 35-II is the successor to previous Ilford instant cameras, maintaining compatibility with current Ilford instant film products while integrating refined ergonomics and operational reliability.
