The Intellinet Network Solutions Fast Ethernet Media Converter has been specifically designed to enable network planners to integrate copper cable connections into a fiber optic network. This allows for the integration or expansion of the existing network with minimal cost and effort. Since the converter is fully network transparent, the network continues to operate in the same way—now supporting both copper and fiber optic media.

Expands an existing network. With the fiber optic connection, remote workgroups can now be integrated into the network. Building-to-building connections can be established without additional routers, saving both effort and costs.

Increases the range between network devices. By connecting to a fiber optic segment, the distance between remote network nodes can be extended. This can be achieved through a direct connection of the converter.
