The EX3400 Ethernet switches are a cost-effective solution for today's most demanding converged data, voice, and video enterprise access networks. These compact 1U fixed-configuration devices offer a level of performance and management that was previously only available in high-performance access switches.
With models featuring either 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, the EX3400 switches also support IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 802.3at PoE+ for powering network phones, video cameras, Wi-Fi access points, and other IP devices. For connecting the switches to upstream devices, there are four SFP/SFP+ uplink ports with dual mode support (GbE/10GbE) on the front of the device and two 40-GbE QSFP+ ports available.
The EX3400 supports Juniper's unique Virtual Chassis technology for interconnecting up to 10 switches, which can be managed as a single device. The EX3400 can also function as a satellite device in a Junos Fusion Enterprise deployment from Juniper, where a variety of access switches are aggregated into a logical management platform.
