The Keychron K8 Pro is the world's first wireless mechanical QMK/VIA keyboard, paving the way for a new era of mechanical keyboards. With VIA, any keys or macro commands can be easily programmed and reassigned for macOS, Windows, and Linux. The K8 Pro is one of the few keyboards on the market that features the same multimedia and function key capabilities as Apple keyboards for Mac users, but with better tactile feedback, all in a compact tenkeyless format.

The sound-absorbing foam, thick silicone padding on the bottom, and steel plate provide responsive feedback and a quiet typing sound, while the added weight increases the stability of the K8 Pro on the desk. Additionally, stabilizers are screwed onto the PCB, allowing for smoother typing with less wobble on larger keys like space, shift, enter, and delete.

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, allowing switches to be installed or changed without soldering. The renowned Gateron G Pro switch features an optimized shape, more precise positioning, and factory lubrication, significantly enhancing the tactile feel. To further refine the typing experience, the K8 Pro is equipped with the unique OSA profile (OEM profile with spherical angle). Along with the three-stage adjustable typing angle (0°, 6°, and 9°) and the inclined bottom frame, the K8 Pro offers long-lasting ergonomic wrist support.

The south-facing RGB LEDs are also designed to make the keyboard's backlighting stand out better from the typist's perspective, despite the non-transparent PBT keycaps.
