The Lindy USB to Serial Converter with COM retention allows the connection of serial devices with a 9-pin RS232 port to the USB Type A port of a computer. With the COM retention feature, the COM port settings for all serial devices are preserved when they are plugged in and out. The assigned COM port values are stored and automatically reassigned correctly after plugging in and out. This also applies when switching between different USB ports.
