The Novoflex MagicBall has revolutionized the world of tripod heads with its exceptional design. Following the introduction of the compact MagicBall FREE at Photokina 2016, it is now time to expand the principle of the removable ball to the MagicBall 50. Thanks to the new inverted housing, photographers achieve an enormous adjustment range of nearly 240° through the ball. A tilt of the camera from landscape to portrait orientation is always possible, even without a perfectly aligned tripod. The highlight, however, is the unleashed ball from the base housing, which supports all conceivable shooting situations. In combination with the guide rail and support foot of the MB FREE 50 SET, photographing while stabilizing is possible both directly on the body and on a variety of conceivable surfaces. Camera pans for video recordings are now also achievable without elaborate rig systems.

Novoflex MB Free 50 scores with robust construction, good workmanship, great freedom of movement and easy handling. It is a fast head, but not always the most precise, because you do everything freely by eye. Panning around the own axis is possible, but hardly as smooth as with a real panorama axis. The holding force is high, even if not bombproof. MB Free 50 is not cheap.
