The Lumix FZ300 is equipped with the powerful 24x wide-angle zoom Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 2.8/4.5-108mm (25-600 mm KB) and with this consistently high luminous intensity, which expands the photographic latitude with the depth of field, short times and in poor light conditions, occupies a special position.
With 14 lens elements in 11 groups, including 1 UHR element, 3 ED lenses and 5 aspherical lenses with 9 aspherical surfaces, the design can be kept very compact without sacrificing quality.
Particular emphasis was placed on low distortion in the wide-angle range and the suppression of annoying color fringes in the telephoto range.
The nanosurface coating with a layer of particularly low refractive index effectively suppresses reflections in the entire visible light range of 380-780 nm. The result is exceptionally clear images, free of ghost images and internal reflections.
