The WLAN-60 antenna is a dual-band Wi-Fi antenna developed by Poynting Antennas. It is a linear dual-band antenna with high gain housed in a robust casing. The antenna can be connected to any Wi-Fi access point, whether it uses older Wi-Fi technology or the latest dual-band Wi-Fi technology. Therefore, the antennas can be used to resolve channel saturation and provide ultimate Wi-Fi performance and flexibility. This means that the antenna can be used for point-to-point connections in environments with a lot of RF noise and turbulence.
The antenna operates in the two Wi-Fi frequency bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), offering excellent utilization of the radio spectrum. It has a maximum gain of 13 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 18 dBi in the 5 GHz band, providing the best performance for reliable connections. The antenna also covers the 3.5 GHz CBRS band, which is utilized for future 5G technologies with a peak gain of 15 dBi. The casing is made of ABS, a highly impact-resistant plastic that is also resistant to acids and other chemicals that may be present in industrial environments. The antenna can be opened on the side where an SMA socket is located. You can then route the cable through the bypass fitting, eliminating the need to connect the antenna cable with extension cables. This prevents connector losses and the need to seal and waterproof connectors during outdoor installations.
