Buy Prima Select NylonPower PA 6/66 - PA6/66 3D Printer Filament

NylonPower PA 6/66 from PrimaCreator is a special co-polymer blend for polyamide 3D printers that takes full advantage of the strengths of PA 6 and PA 66. The combination of these two types of polyamide makes our nylon very easy to 3D print. Normally, nylon (PA) is very difficult to process in 3D printing. With standard 3D printer filaments made from nylon, there is often difficulty in getting it to adhere to the build platform. With NylonPower, you can use lower 3D printing temperatures than normally used for nylon. Use this material in most popular FFF/FDM 3D printers.

The most important material properties of NylonPower PA6/66:

  • Perfect blend of PA6 and PA66
  • High chemical and thermal resistance
  • Less deformation than normal nylon, therefore easy 3D printing
  • Excellent layer adhesion ensures stable 3D printed parts

What is the best way to 3D print nylon filament?

When 3D printing with nylon, you should do so on a heated build plate. For optimal adhesion, we recommend using Magigoo PA. The temperature should be set at 60-80°C.

Nylon PA6/66 is a high-performance 3D printing filament.

Nylon has high mechanical strength and deforms less. It is difficult to chip or break. In addition, nylon is also one of the best materials when it comes to high impact resistance.

Special material properties of nylon and processing tips

Nylon is very hygroscopic. This means that it absorbs liquids, which can be an advantage if you want to dye your filament. It also means that it is important to dry the nylon before use. Set the oven to 70-80°C and leave it there for 4-8 hours to dry. The longer you leave it there, the drier it will be. This will also affect the finished print, both visually and in terms of performance.
