Unfortunately, I don't know the Internetbox 2 from Swisscom. But the Fritz!Box 5530 Fibre is perfectly adequate for my purposes. I don't need a range extender in the house, but the box is also relatively centrally located.
Before that I had an AVM FRITZ!Box 7530 AX, which felt a bit better, but it didn't have a fibre optic connection.

I had that too. The settings under Internet connection do not fit and you probably get a 100.82.* IP address. For me (init7 Hybrid7 via Swisscom BBCS) it worked with "other Internet provider", VLAN=10; then I got a 100.95.* IP address and https://swisscom.com/register automatically forwarded to the correct splash page at https://www.swisscom.ch/splashpage/guest/app/Accessid.
I had exactly the same problem, you have to select a "different Internet provider" and set DHCP to ID 10. Then the so-called "splash page" appears and you can activate the line. After the activation, probably configure PPPoE with login data & DHCP ID 11.

The AON version worked perfectly with my Swisscom connection. Unfortunately, the Swisscom subsidiary Wingo was not prepared to set up an AON connection for me. I didn't want to spend money again on a PON version of the FB 5530, so now I'm with another provider.
I have never configured the 5530 as a repeater or as an IP client. However, I have configured other current and older AVM models. It has always worked without any problems. It won't be any different with the 5530.
Hi. I have received the latest router from Sunrise (sunrise internet box fiber for 10 GB, which looks like a humidifier). However, I would like to connect an IP telephone exchange via SIP protocol. This does not work with this router and I really want to continue using my telephone system. What are the solutions for me? Should I buy a Fritzbox 5490 or 5530? Or can Sunrise provide it for me? The speed is not so important to me. 1 GB is enough. But if I get more, all the better. Thank you very much.
As far as I know, fibre optic modems must be registered by the supplier. If this is not the case, according to your supplier, all the better. According to the manufacturer, a GPON module should be included as well as a 4m fibre optic cable (LC/APC > LC/APC).

Wingo Internet setup with Fritzbox Please help!
I have plugged in 2 of the sockets on the connection. Tried with blue cable and red cable from Wingo. Set up the Fritzbox AVM FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber XGS-PON which is also supported by Swisscom, with the software version 7.50 in the new flat from her. Unfortunately, this does not work as intended. I have changed the entry "Swisscom FTTH DHCP" on the Fritzbox "Internet provider". I am redirected to the Swisscom page and then have to enter a login. Is this the WingoLogin data or what data is required from Wingo that does not work? I keep getting an error message saying that it didn't work when she logs in and that I should contact Swisscom support. If I enter any login data, another error message comes up, so it does recognise some login data.
I have received an activation code is this Net Service Number (NSN) ? Where exactly do I have to enter it?
Does this Fritz!Box 5530 really only have 3 LAN ports, 1 of which supports 2.5 Gbit/s?

(Compared to the "old" FB5490 from 2016, this is very meagre. There you had 4 x 1 GBit/s LAN, 2 x USB 3.0, 2 x analogue telephone connections + 1 x ISDN and you plug the fibre optic cable directly into the device, not into an AON/PON/GPON converter).
So the only advantage of the FB 5530 is the WiFi 6 (faster WLAN)?

This one has an AON terminal (unfortunately not described anywhere, but it used to be the only one sold in retail in Switzerland), the one from the link apparently GPON. The general chatter from the description that the 5530 can do all three technologies (yes, it's true) is unfortunately of little help, because you need the right terminal ("modem"), because all three are by no means supplied. The next challenge is to find out which technology your own provider uses, which is usually not mentioned anywhere. I was lucky that 1. AON fitted and 2. my provider has a competent and friendly second level support who gave me the information in advance.
