Dear ToBench, since I unfortunately don't have the Samyang myself, but have read a lot about it, I can only say that it is certainly very good, it also has a larger aperture of 2.0 than the Sigma 2.8, but for landscape photography you certainly shoot from 4.5 and higher, so it doesn't matter. Otherwise, the 12 mm stands against the 19mm, both are fine for landscape photography and are completely ok. In terms of price, the Sigma is a real bargain and I think it works really well on my Alpha 6000, takes good photos and I would buy it again. If money is not an issue for you and you want something under 19mm then I would recommend the Samyang, but otherwise definitely the 19mm Sigma. Greetings Karl
