The main difference between the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS and the Mark II version is the improved image sharpness, the faster and more precise autofocus and the significantly lower weight of the Mark II version. The Mark II has four XD Linear motors for autofocus, which delivers noticeably better results, especially with fast movements and newer camera models. The Mark II also focuses closer and is generally sharper across the entire field of view, especially at the edges. The weight of the Mark II is around 1.045 g, which is significantly lighter than its predecessor. Operation has also been improved with a new aperture ring and additional stabilisation modes.

They are the same lenses (SEL70200GM2.SYX), however, the EU one is an import and therefore the "Sony Swiss Warranty" does not apply. The lens is covered by our own warranty of course:

This camera, lens or flash is an imported product and is not eligible for the extension of the so-called "Swiss Warranty". This product has a normal 24Mth bring-in guarantee from Digitec Galaxus AG.
Daily prices. Because Digitec can do it. And whoever didn't buy this lens for 2393 has only themselves to blame.
