They won't tell you that. I have already written several emails to support. The only statement was: "For data protection reasons, we cannot disclose this".
Unfortunately, we are not able to give any information about a delivery date at the moment, but we will update our info as soon as we receive new information from our supplier.
I called Galaxus and they told me that the supplier had blocked all deliveries of the PS5 at short notice and so this reset everything in the system in the background. They also told me that it should work again tonight or tomorrow at the latest.
This one is probably in my living room. Imagine you bought a new 65 inch screen and 1 week later, before the lockdown, the box is no longer running...also very cool...but the PS5 already rocks...
The mails were sent yesterday, so if you haven't received anything yet, you'll have to be patient a little longer, or pick one up in the shop on the 19th.
I ordered the PS5 on the release day. When I placed the order, I was assured of the delivery date. Afterwards, I was informed that I would not receive the PS5 on time. After that, Sony assured me of more units. Apparently that wasn't enough for my order either.
I find it extremely problematic how you deal with first-time buyers, whom you have nota bene assured of punctual delivery.
Other department stores/online shops have managed this and have not accepted backorders "on the off chance". I ordered from you precisely because you usually publish reliable information. Now I've been sitting for weeks on an order without delivery details.
Sorry Digitec, but are you actually pulling our leg? Today there were a small number of new contingents at various electronics shops. It is now the 2-3 delivery of PS5. You are waiting for *first-time buyers, i.e. those who ordered and paid for their PS5 on 17.09.2020. The cherry on top of the cream cake is: You give your customers zero information about the next delivery. The customers don't even know if they can hold their Ps5 in their hands this year. For me, it's already clear that I will avoid Digitec when it comes to pre-ordering consoles. Really disappointing!

Everyone knows that you have as little information about the next delivery as other retailers. However, I think that despite everything, you should communicate the following questions openly:
What exactly didn't work out with the pre-orders? There are not nearly as many Day 1 pre-orderers at other retailers who still haven't received their console as there are at your retailer. Why hasn't the pre-order quota been set lower?
Did you guys even get a 2nd and 3rd wave (like MediaMarkt, Fust, etc.)? If not, why didn't that work out for such a big retailer like you?
How many open pre-orders do you still have? That would at least give you an idea of where you stand...
It would be even better if you communicate that we have x pre-orders. If you ordered between 06.00 - 08.00, you are in the first quarter and so on. I can understand that you don't write an email to everyone telling them exactly where you are.
I think some information could reduce the annoyance of many pre-orderers a little.

You should seriously consider looking for a new wholesaler, because at Mediamarkt you could order the PS5 again yesterday on 06.01.2021. This should have been the 3rd time after the official release where you could have placed an order. Many people have pre-ordered here in September 2020 and now I'm also still waiting for it and I have to say quite honestly, I think it's an absolute cheek to offer products that you ultimately can't deliver. For me, pre-order means that you normally get the product on release and don't have to wait what feels like 3 years. I've been a customer here for a long time, but I've never experienced anything like this.
I like Digitec and Galaxus but with the Playstation5 you guys where not correct with us, i order on the 17 of September and except on the 19 of September when i was informed that i was late and there was not stock enough for covering my order i never got any other official communication from Digitec informing where on the list was i if i was the next person in line or the thousand, and that is not ok
on The 3 of December i order one on Manor was told they will be on their warehouse on the 18 and today 19 i got it from Manor and cancelled mine from Digitec because more than 3 months later i had no news and said No information available, you guys should work on your communication to your costumers
It was possible to order from WOG again today and they also confirm that the devices will arrive next week and be shipped directly. I have no idea what Digitec has done to Sony to make this impossible. I ordered in September at 8 o'clock in the morning and almost 5 months later I still don't know when I will see the paid part.
I will definitely never pre-order anything here again - whether this is Digitec's fault or not (which I doubt), but it just comes across as if they are making zero effort to find out from Sony or wholesalers (wherever the consoles get to Digitec from) how long the wait will be.
