Yes, the Sony XR-55A80L has HDMI 2.1 connections. There are a total of four HDMI ports, two of which support the HDMI 2.1 specification, which enables next-gen gaming features such as 4K/120Hz, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode).
Hi, I actually often listen with headphones and this works well via Bluetooth. Unfortunately, you have to go through a few steps in the settings.
1. go to settings (quick thing)
2. Scroll down 7x
3. Connect with headphones
For adults easy, for kids well... I would trust my son maybe from 8-9 years.
Ps: if you ALWAYS listen with headphones, then it stays connected to the TV all the time. But I assume that you would also alternate between headphones and loud.
According to Sony, Android TV/Google TV will no longer support this function after 2020. However, the TV has Chromecast built-in, which allows you to stream content via the TV. The following link will take you to the manufacturer's instructions: https://www.sony.ch/de/electronics/support/articles/00044409
Yes, it is possible to connect Bluetooth headphones to the Sony TV model XR-65A80L (2023), provided the device supports the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP).
- Check the TV's specifications on the Sony support website to ensure that the XR-65A80L model supports the A2DP profile. All Sony TVs released since 2021, including the A80L model, are equipped with the A2DP profile.
- Make sure that A/V synchronisation is available in the TV settings, which indicates that the model supports Bluetooth headphones.
Hello everyone
Does anyone know how easy it is to switch between loudspeaker and headphone connection with this TV?
We sometimes listen loudly and often in the evening via headphones. With the old TV, we simply plugged in the headphones and the loud sound was switched off. The new TVs don't have a headphone socket and so, according to my research, you have to use the digital output.
I would like to know if you can simply switch back and forth or if you have to go into the set-up of the TV.
(PS: Not everyone in our family can do this, hence my preliminary clarification before I buy such a model) ;-)
Thanks for information and tips!
The height of the Sony HT-A7000 soundbar is 8cm. However, I am afraid that the infrared sensor for the remote control will be covered on the Sony XR-55A80L TV, despite the feet being in the soundbar position. What should the dimensions be if the feet have been fitted in the soundbar position? Someone came round and did this for me. But if the infrared sensor is just covered, it doesn't make sense to me, then this soundbar position is useless because it's not high enough. Does anyone have this TV/soundbar combination from Sony or a soundbar at the same height as this TV? Thank you very much for your help.
