the sockets on a PSU are not standardized. Every manufacturer has his own pin configuration for the sockets. In the worst case, if you use a wrong cable you will destroy your SATA devices.

Hi Dario In my current computer I use this SATA splitter. So far I have had no problems with it. It's "just a cable" which can only cause problems if it breaks or has a loose contact. It could also have too small a cross-section and get warm. But this is not the case with me either. Greetings lehner
