Very disappointed after several positive UE experiences
Music reproduction is extremely disturbed by regular dropouts. Listening to music with these speakers is practically impossible. I had no problems with the predecessors (Megaboom 2). All firmwares and apps are up to 2-date - but the quality is simply unacceptable.... (the reader is now free to use the word... but it is certainly not a benevolent one...)

Top sound, very good workmanship

I would buy the Megaboom again. However, the bundle is only worth it if you only use the Megaboom in one place.
I am very satisfied, especially with the battery life. So far, I've only had small wobbles during music playback, but these are caused by the mobile phone, as I've noticed with other Bluetooth devices.
I wouldn't buy the Power Up Bundle again for my application because I need the Megaboom in a new place almost every day. But if you only need it in one place, the bundle is definitely worth it.
I find the new button great, even though I only use it to stop and skip. I tried to define some playlists from Spotify in the app, but couldn't manage and so can't give any more details about this function.
Even though Ultimate Ears is known for its bass-heavy speakers, you can use the equalizer to turn down the bass for songs that have almost no bass. However, when you need the bass, it's very good. Even at full volume, the sound is still very clear (compared to the UE Boom 2).
The only thing that bothers me a little is the micro USB port, which could certainly have been replaced by a USB-C port.
PS: The battery lasts longer if you have the volume on your phone at the highest level and regulate the effective volume on the Megaboom itself or via the app.Pro

Good sound from a small device
No matter where I am, always good sound with a long battery life.

No handsfree
I bought this as a handsfree replacement for my smaller bluetooth speaker for my conference calls and also to be able to view movies with louder sound but after a week with the UE support they finally told me that this model does not have a microphone.
So Digitec has to be update the specs for this product.
I cannot say if you can use this for conference calls as you need a separate microphone as well.
Also I later found on the UE site that they have a problem with their protocol and you can ue multiple to listen on movies.
The package does not include any carry pouch which considering the size and the price of the speaker I woud expect it to be included.
On the plus side the sound is good and while testing the maximum level in my room, I heard no distortion or buzzes, and it was so loud that I was afraid the neighbors might complain.Pro

Top loudspeaker
Bought them for 50 Fr. thanks to a price mistake at another shop. I wouldn't buy it for the normal price. If you don't absolutely need the charging station and don't have to have the very latest model, you can easily go for the predecessor😉.
