The AF 35mm f/2.8 FE lens from Samyang features a slim size and is a compact wide-angle lens designed for mirrorless Sony E-Mount cameras in full screen mode. Its versatile wide-angle range is well suited for general recording applications and its slim form factor is ideal for travel and everyday shooting. The optical design includes a pair of aspherical elements and a high refractive index element to suppress spherical aberrations to achieve a high degree of sharpness and clarity across the entire aperture range. An Ultra-Multi coating has also been used to control stray light and ghost images for more contrast when working in high light conditions. The lens' autofocus motor works in conjunction with the AF systems of Sony cameras for fast and precise focusing, and manual focusing is also available for more precise control.

Nur 260 Euro kostet das 86 Gramm leichte 35er mit AF. An Sonys KB-Kamera sind offen die Vignettierung zu stark und der Randkontrast zu gering. Bei Blende 5,6 erreicht das 35er kein Top- aber ein gutes bis sehr gutes Ergebnis. Der Randabfall ist nun gering, auch wenn ganz in den Ecken die Zeichnung fehlt. Für den Preis ist die Leistung ok, aber ein 35er sollte bei Blende 2,8 besser abschneiden.
