Product details

Description: Everyone knows it: the machine gun effect created by rapidly toggling a switch back and forth. It's not exactly gentle on materials. The Kill Pot is the perfect solution for this. When pressed, it mutes the sound, and when released, the sound returns. It can be used as either a volume or tone pot. 500 KOhm, logarithmic, for humbuckers.

The SH 124 Kill Pot is a unique potentiometer with a momentary push switch for electric guitars. It temporarily cuts off the sound when pressed and automatically returns when released. This can be used to create extraordinary machine gun sound effects or other rhythmic muting without affecting the lifespan of the toggle switch. The SH 124 Kill Pot can be easily installed in any standard electric guitar and is even suitable for archtop guitars like Les Pauls due to its 16 mm socket. The SH 124 replaces either the standard volume or tone potentiometer of your electric guitar but continues to function as a standard potentiometer, so you won't lose any control.

Logarithmic characteristic curve, 500K resistance. Robust, specially designed potentiometer with momentary push switch. Approximately 1 mm travel - spring-loaded. Mounting screw: 16 mm with M7 x 0.75 thread.
