Adjustable torso height: The X40 offers three height options with a vertical adjustment range of approximately 9 cm (3 inches). This means that the same pack will fit smaller or larger torso sizes for both men and women, ensuring a customised fit for everyone. People with larger or wider torsos can add Shimoda Booster Kit to extend the fit of the backpack.

Core Unit Modular Camera Insert System: The X40 utilises the DSLR Core Unit series. Core Units provide shockproof protection for mirrorless and DSLR cameras and lenses, ensuring that the user never carries more padding and weight than necessary. The X40 v2 can accommodate the small, medium and large DSLR sizes. It can also accommodate the flatter mirrorless series.

Two laptop/tablet compartments: The padded compartments on the back and front are suitable for laptops up to 16 inches. With two compartments, you can pack both a tablet and a laptop, giving you options for different packing scenarios.

Expandable roll-top access: The Action X Series has been designed with roll-top access so the bag can be customised to your gear needs while maintaining a tight and compact fit. The roll-top can be expanded with a volume range of 7 litres. There is also an additional YKK SplashGuard zip at the top for quick access, making access to your gear extremely quick and easy, especially in bad weather.

Hidden compartment for a tracking device: A hidden compartment for a personal tracking device so you always know where your backpack is. If your backpack gets lost, a tracker can help you find its location and retrieve your gear. The cover is suitable for AirTag and Tile Pro devices.
