The SP 150-600mm G2 (Generation 2) ultra-telephoto zoom lens features improved optical characteristics that enable you to achieve impressive photographic results. This new lens is a logical evolution of the current SP 150-600mm (model A011), which was first introduced in December 2013. It includes enhanced overall optical performance, faster autofocus speed, improved vibration compensation, fluorocoating, the newly developed FLEX ZOOM LOCK, and compatibility with tele-converters.

This bundle includes a 1.4x Tele-Converter, which extends the focal length to 210-840mm with an aperture of f/7.1-9.

The SP 150-600mm G2 offers improved optical performance and quality for an enhanced photography experience. It features three low dispersion (LD) elements that significantly reduce chromatic aberrations, achieving high performance. The optical construction consists of 21 elements in 13 groups.

Two special coatings, eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular Dependency) and BBAR (Broad Band Anti-Reflection), ensure excellent anti-reflection properties. Ghosting and unwanted stray light are effectively eliminated, even when shooting backlit subjects or at night.

Additionally, the lens has improved the minimum object distance (MOD), reducing it to 2.2m, which opens up new possibilities in tele-macro photography.

The 150-600mm G2 is equipped with an Ultrasonic Silent Drive (USD) motor that provides excellent responsiveness and control. The autofocus speed has been significantly enhanced, allowing for accurate high-speed focusing to capture fast and moving subjects.
