War, the first rider of the Apocalypse, has been betrayed by the forces of evil. He is now accused of prematurely triggering the end of the world by breaking the sacred law of Heaven and Hell. In the ensuing battle, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly host and claimed the Earth for themselves. War is brought before the fiery council, condemned for his crime, and stripped of his powers. Disgraced and facing his own death, War is given the chance to return to Earth, seek the truth, and punish those responsible for this chaos. He is pursued by vengeful angels, must confront the forces of Hell, and forge unsettling alliances with the very demons he hunts.
