Removable antennas and mounting kit
EAP225-Outdoor is equipped with two detachable omnidirectional antennas, so that other types of antennas can be mounted according to your specific requirements. With the supplied mounting kit you can easily and safely mount your access point to a wall or mast.
WLAN over distance
With its high transmission power and two high-gain omnidirectional antennas, the EAP225 outdoor antenna offers good WLAN coverage for outdoor use within a radius of up to 200m.

WLAN standard 802.11ac
The WLAN standard 802.11ac offers you up to twice as much data throughput as older standards. On the one hand, the increase is achieved by widening the transmission bandwidth. In addition, 802.11ac can be used to increase the number of parallel data streams (Multiple Input Multiple Output, MIMO for short) to up to eight MIMO streams, while the 802.11n standard defines a maximum of four MIMO streams. Even large data blocks such as videos and backups are no problem with this WLAN speed.
Multi-SSID support
Thanks to Multi-SSID, you can use this access point to operate multiple wireless network zones with different names and access rights. One possibility would be to set up separate network segments for individual departments or, for example, to operate Smart Home and IoT devices in separate zones. For example, visitors' smartphones already have no access to PCs with confidential data on the network side. If you are expanding your wireless network with additional access points, make sure that the new APs support at least as many SSIDs per wireless module as your router/WLAN controller.

This network-enabled device is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) over the LAN cable. The main advantage of PoE is that you do not need a power supply cable. This allows you to install Ethernet-connected devices in hard-to-reach locations or in areas where many cables would interfere.
