Product details

The MC200CM is a media converter designed to convert 1000BASE-SX fiber media to 1000Base-T copper media or vice versa. The MC200CM is built according to the 1000Base-T standard (IEEE802.3ab) and the 1000Base-SX standard (IEEE802.3z) and is intended for use with multimode fiber optic cables and SC connectors. The MC200CM supports the short-wavelength (SX) laser specification with a forwarding rate that matches the full bandwidth. It operates at 850nm for both sending and receiving data. Additional features of this module include the ability to use the device as a standalone unit (no housing required) or with the 19-inch system chassis from TP-Link. It also offers Auto-MDI/MDIX for the transmit port and a status LED on the front. The MC200CM transmits in Fibre-Optic-Long-Distance mode using multimode fiber optic cable over distances of up to 550m.
