All 8 ports of the TL-SG1008MP support the PoE+ (Power over Ethernet Plus) standard, allowing for the automatic detection and powering of all IEEE 802.3af/at compatible devices. Electrical power is transmitted along with data in a single cable, enabling you to expand your network where there are no electrical cables or outlets available, and to power devices such as access points, IP cameras, or IP phones.

The TL-SG1008MP includes a priority feature that protects the system during overload. If the total power consumption of all PoE+ devices reaches or exceeds 153 W, a priority is established among the 8 PoE+ ports. In this case, the system will cut power to the port with the lowest priority.

The priority arrangement is as follows: Port 1 > Port 2 > Port 3 > Port 4 > Port 5 > Port 6 > Port 7 > Port 8. This feature safeguards the system in the event of power overload. For example, if Ports 1, 2, 4, 5, and 7 each use 30 W (the maximum power per port is 30 W, with a total system power of 153 W) and an additional device using 25 W is plugged into Port 3, the system will cut power to the port with the lowest priority.
