The device does not have a touchscreen. PoE is available, Wi-Fi is optional, and Bluetooth is not supported. The connection type for headsets is via RJ-9.

There are 5 context-sensitive softkeys with tri-color LEDs, as well as 6 fixed function keys: Hold, Transfer, Conference, Settings, Messages, and Absence. The high-resolution and high-contrast color TFT display shows context-sensitive states and actions that can be utilized with the 5 buttons located to the right of the display. These buttons are equipped with an LED status indicator to assist the user during operation.

Like the other phones in this device model family, it also offers 6 fixed function keys, 4 of which also have an LED status. The OpenScape Desk Phone CP410 additionally provides Gigabit Ethernet and Energy Efficient Ethernet. Up to 4 key modules KM410 or KM710 can be connected to meet the need for many freely programmable keys.

The USB interface is used to connect USB headsets and the CP10 WiFi stick. Installation is straightforward thanks to PoE. This network-capable device is powered via the LAN cable. The main advantage of PoE is that no additional power supply cable is required, making installation in hard-to-reach places or areas with many cables easier. This saves installation costs and allows for increased reliability of connected devices through the use of a central uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
