The Viltrox 50 mm F/1.8 lens covers both the E-Mount and Z-Mount systems. This lens is primarily designed for Nikon Z-Mount mirrorless cameras and features internal focusing, a linear aperture, and video optimization. The STM stepping motor ensures smooth and quiet focusing during film and video recording, while the large aperture allows for impressive shots even in low-light conditions. With a focal length of 50 mm, it is the perfect lens for portraits, vlogs, still images, and more.

One element with particularly low dispersion and two high-transparency elements reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing to achieve a high level of clarity and color accuracy. Two aspherical elements help control spherical aberrations and reduce distortion, resulting in high sharpness and precise reproduction.

The HD Nano multi-layer coating has been applied to the individual elements to suppress stray light and ghosting, thereby improving contrast and color fidelity when working under strong lighting conditions.

Complementing the optics, the lens is equipped with an STM stepping motor that provides fast, nearly silent, and precise autofocus performance, as well as manual focus override. The internal focusing also contributes to its quick performance. Additionally, the lens features a built-in Micro-USB port for future firmware updates.

It includes an integrated manual aperture ring for tactile exposure control, as well as an "A" position for automatic, camera-based aperture selection.
