The 852-603 is an industrial, configurable managed Ethernet switch with 8 copper ports 10/100BASE-TX and 2 SFP slots, which can be configured as either 100BASE-FX or 1000BASE-SX/LX (SFP modules are optionally available). The switch features a robust housing, redundant power supply, and function monitoring with relay. The PROFINET certificate (conformity class B) ensures easy integration into PROFINET automation systems via the device description file (GSD). Additionally, the device supports PROFINET Netload Class II.

The device supports flexible configuration of multi-port mirroring through the device description file or web-based management. With the help of function blocks, the cyclical diagnosis of the PROFINET switch can be efficiently implemented in the TIA Portal. An application note is available for this purpose.
