1. Walimex 500/6.3 DSLR Mirror Samsung NX

Typically, a long focal length of 500 mm is housed in a 500 mm long body. To achieve a handy, versatile, and compact solution, a trick has been applied in this lens. The light path is folded using two high-precision ground ring mirrors. This results in a compact design and an aperture that is more than 50% larger than that of a lens with the same focal length, as well as a very short minimum focusing distance of only 2 meters. Focusing is done manually. The lens can be used in aperture priority or manual mode depending on the camera. Technically, it is not possible to insert a diaphragm blade into the folded light path. If light reduction is necessary, this can be achieved with gray filters (not included) that screw onto the front of the rear lens. There is an M34x0.5 thread for this purpose. The lens does not have a fixed infinity stop. Focusing is oscillating, allowing the focus point to be securely found from out of focus to sharp and back to out of focus.

For the T2 connection, the T2 adapter is screwed onto the optics, after which the lens is locked in place. After loosening the side screws on the T2 adapter, the lens can be aligned straight to position the index upwards. Retightening the screws reliably secures the lens and the adapter.

The advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor include time savings in post-processing. Many lens errors such as distortions, edge softness, or vignetting occur in the outer areas of the image. Using a lens designed for full-frame on a camera with an APS-C sensor means that these areas are not utilized, resulting in maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not required.

2. Walimex 50/1.3 Video APS-C Sony E

With a standard focal length of 50 mm, this compact video lens for mirrorless system cameras is versatile and particularly suitable for portrait and landscape photography. Shots in low light or images with shallow depth of field can be ideally achieved thanks to a high light intensity of T1:1.3. With an angle of view of approximately 31°, the lens produces images from a natural perspective. The lens has been specifically designed for videography and features a stepless aperture that allows for consistent exposure during shooting. The aperture can be adjusted from 1.3 to 16, and the focus adjustment is smooth and easy to operate. For the use of a follow-focus system, both the aperture ring and focus ring are equipped with a gear. The lens has a 9-blade diaphragm that creates an almost circular opening, ensuring beautiful bokeh. A particularly high-quality optical construction made of 9 multi-coated glass elements achieves excellent imaging results. Additionally, 2 aspherical lenses provide optimal correction of chromatic aberrations. A lens hood prevents side light and lens reflections and can be removed if necessary. The robust lens is internally focusing, meaning the length of the lens does not change. Focusing is done manually.

3. Walimex 500/6.3 DSLR mirror Fuji X

Typically, a long focal length of 500 mm is housed in a 500 mm long casing. To achieve a handy, versatile, and compact solution, this lens employs a trick. The light path is folded using two high-precision ground ring mirrors. This design results in a compact construction and an aperture that is more than 50% larger than that of a lens with the same focal length, as well as a very short minimum focusing distance of just 2 meters. Focusing is done manually, and the lens can be used in aperture priority or manual exposure mode depending on the camera. Technically, it is not possible to insert a diaphragm blade into the folded light path. If light reduction is necessary, this can be achieved with neutral density filters that screw in before the rear lens. There is a thread M34x0.5 for this purpose.

The lens does not have a fixed infinity stop. Focus is adjusted through oscillation, allowing the focus point to be reliably found from out of focus to sharp and back to out of focus. The T2 adapter is screwed onto the lens and then locked. After loosening the screws on the side of the T2 adapter, the lens can be aligned so that the index can be oriented upwards. Retightening the screws securely fastens the lens and the adapter.

Using a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor saves time in post-processing. Many lens errors, such as distortions, edge softness, or vignetting, occur in the outer areas of the image. By using a lens designed for full-frame on an APS-C sensor camera, these areas are not utilized, resulting in maximum quality. Therefore, additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is not required.

4. Walimex Pro 800/8.0 DSLR mirror T2

Normally, a long focal length of 800mm also has a total length of almost 80cm to the sensor plane. In order to achieve a handy, universally applicable and compact solution, a trick was used for this lens. The beam path is simply "folded" by means of two high-precision ground ring mirrors, resulting in a compact design of only 131mm in length - compared to the almost 80cm mentioned above. The close focusing distance is also reduced to 3.5 metres - instead of at least 10m with a lens objective. Focussing is manual. The lens can be used (depending on the camera) with aperture priority or manual exposure setting. It is not technically possible to use an iris diaphragm in the folded beam path. If light reduction is necessary, this can be achieved simply by using 2x or 4x grey filters. These are screwed in front of the rear lens. An M30.5x0.5 thread is provided for this purpose. Practical: The lens does not have a fixed infinity stop. Focusing is carried out "oscillating" by reliably finding the focal point from out of focus to in focus to out of focus at any distance. T2 connection, operating tip: The T2 adapter is screwed onto the lens, then the lens is locked on. After loosening the screws on the side of the T2 adapter, the lens can be "raised" - the index can be aligned upwards. Tightening the screws again reliably secures the lens and adapter. A large number of lens faults such as distortion, edge blurring or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If a lens designed for full-frame format is used on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not utilised. This ensures maximum quality. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not required. T2 connection: available adapters: Canon EOS, Canon FD, Nikon AF/MF, Olympus OM, Olympus 4/3, Olympus micro 4/3, Minolta AF, Minolta MD, Pentax, Leica R/SL, Praktica M42, Samsung, Sony Alpha Tip: doubling the focal length with optional walimex 2x converter art. no. 12602, results in a 16/1600mm or a 16/2400mm With this article number, the T2 adapter is not included in the scope of delivery. Please also order or order the lens as a unit with T2 adapter for your camera
