Question about Brother Dcp-9020cdw
1. is it possible to press in black/white when one of the colour toners is empty? 2. 2. does the pusher have normal toner or the "start-up set"?
Helpful answer
1) A super colour laser printer for normal quality.
2) You can only switch to black and white via the printer settings (software).
3) If the colour toner is empty, you cannot print in black and white.
4.) The MFC (all MFCs) will display the message 1. message = almost empty keep xxx ready.
5.) You can still print approx. 60-80 copies.
6.) 2nd message EMPTY Replace
7.) If it should happen that you have forgotten to order toner:
Open the toner drawer and take out the toner one by one: Slowly turn the toner drawer a little to the left and to the right 2-3 times.
and push the conand wire once to the right and snap it back to the left.
Then you can print out a few more, about 10.
Not only Brother have this problem, on HP Laser MFC: when colours are finished: no black and white printout possible.
ATTENTION: if you need good colour quality for pictures, I would prefer the HP M-277dw.
