According to the manufacturer, the following benefits apply: Output power (8 ohms, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.08% distortion, 2-channel operation) 80 W Output power (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.7% distortion, 2-channel operation) 120 W Output power (6 Ohm, 1 kHz, 1% distortion, 1-channel operation) 145 W My question: The upper model AVR-X3500H, on the other hand, offers 7 x 180 W. Is this a significant difference in quality? I want to connect different Klipsch sound speakers. I don't care about multiroom, audio jack and atmos. I will only use it for gaming and films (also music) as a 5.1 system. Is the surcharge to the upper model (429 Fr.- vs 849 Fr.-) therefore worth it? Last question: I hope you can also use it for HDR gaming/movies?
We received the following answer from a customer:
In a normal living space of approx. 50m2 , the more expensive model is not worthwhile.
The difference in quality will not be noticeable.
Yes, you can play HDR with the model.
Since Klipsch speakers have a rather high efficiency, they can certainly also be loud with the small Denon. Whether loud is also qualitatively good is another matter! But no one really knows where the money really goes with the larger Denon, and whether you can really hear the differences in the power amplifiers in receivers in this class is more a matter of faith. So I would say that it's all very individual and only you can say for yourself whether the extra cost is worth it. Respectively, you could only say after testing both devices whether it is worth it and whether it is worth the money to you.
I know my text doesn't really help you now, but I would like to say that with audio, such a remote consultation is simply damn difficult! Only the last question can be answered easily and Fabian has already confirmed that. I do have the X1500, but unfortunately my TV can't do HDR.
