I have this camera with the latest firmware and it works fine with Synology. However, you first have to connect it to the Wi-Fi with the D-Link app before you can add it to Surveillance Station. After that, you can remove it from the app.

The camera can be used with the Synology NAS, but the functionality is unfortunately limited. For example, the motion detector does not work. For example, no people are detected when the camera is operated via Surveillance Station.
