If you want to play golf or billiards, they're great :) but for other sports, on-ear headphones are generally not recommended.

I don't think the headphones are suitable for sports. The leather gets damp from sweat and at some point the noble part will start to stink. But that depends on the type of sport.

Will the V2 wireless "matt black" be offered as new again at some point or is that it with this colour?

In general, it should be noted that with Beats on- and over-ear headphones, annoying wind noise occurs even in light wind or at a comfortable cycling speed.
And as couchsurfer already mentioned, the leather is likely to get unpleasantly damp quickly.
Likewise, on/over-ear headphones are not suitable for sports where you move your head quickly or jerkily because they slip easily.
