Which model do you have? Gaming Pro and OC both have a backplate, the pictures of which are on the manufacturer's website. The cheapest variant (Palit 2080 TI Dual) does not have any pictures of the backplate, so I assume that there is none.

80°C with BF5? Do you play on 4k and all settings on ultra? Incl. ultra raytracing? In a closed case?

PS: The fans can be switched off below 50°C with the software, e.g. Afterburner.

It has a backplate and in my case the card will be water cooled, but if you want to convert to water cooling you need a different backplate because the cooler sits too loosely with the standard one.

e.g. in Battlefield 5 it won't get hotter than 80C and mostly not over 70C.
It is actually quiet but does not have this feature that the fans switch off below 55C.

THE CARD HAS NO BACKPLATE! We are talking about the DUAL version.
