You can install "German (Switzerland)" as the language. Then you can type with the "ä", "ö" and "ü" keys. With Shift this becomes "à", "é" and "è". If you press CAPS then you can type "ÖÄÜ". The device is on display in Digitec's Bern showroom - I had a look at it before I bought it. LG

For lower case, with the basic settings, just "shift" and the relevant key. For upper case, press the umlaut key, then hold down "shift" + the letter you want. Nothing complicated, just conventional operation.
